Volunteering and COVID 19 Pandemic

Information around the pandemic is constantly changing. In this uncertain time, non profit organizations and volunteers can be left with numerous questions, unsure where to find the answers.

At Kings Volunteer Resource Centre we are confident in looking to two sources to provide us guidance:

a)  Volunteer Canada, to provide national leadership and expertise on volunteer engagement.
b)  Public Health for accurate and reliable information on the pandemic itself.

Below are two links respectively for more information from both of those sources about the current pandemic.

We encourage you to visit these links regularly and keep up to date with recommendations and information.

We can be available alternate days and times to meet in person, simply contact us at coordinator@kingsvolunteerresourcecentre.ca or 385-4950 to request an alternate time to meet. KVRC Policy on COVID Vaccination

Kings Volunteer Resource Centre acknowledges the government of Nova Scotia’s directive, and recognizes we are a non-essential service.

As such we adopt a policy that proof of COVID vaccination is required upon entering our facility for any purpose, which include but are not limited to workshops, all meetings - those meetings with the public (regardless of number in attendance), committee meetings, board meetings, presentations or other groups utilizing our space.

Proof of vaccination will be accepted once and recorded on a checklist, but not photocopied or any personal information kept except for names and verification the record has been seen.

The procedures to implement this policy will be based on the recommendations from the NS Government outlined in the following link: https://novascotia.ca/coronavirus/docs/proof-full-vaccination-guide-businesses-en.pdf
