Volunteering and COVID 19 Pandemic
Information around the pandemic is constantly changing. In this uncertain time, non profit organizations and volunteers can be left with numerous questions, unsure where to find the answers.
At Kings Volunteer Resource Centre we are confident in looking to two sources to provide us guidance:
a) Volunteer Canada, to provide national leadership and expertise on volunteer engagement.
b) Public Health for accurate and reliable information on the pandemic itself.
Below are two links respectively for more information from both of those sources about the current pandemic.
We encourage you to visit these links regularly and keep up to date with recommendations and information.

OUR KVRC OFFICE DURING THE PANDEMIC
At KVRC we acknowledge the lifting of public health restrictions as of March 21 2022, and we are looking forward to connecting with community again in both new and familiar ways. We do also recognize that the pandemic itself is not over, and we encourage everyone in community to respect various comfort levels when it comes to making personal decisions around masking, social distancing choosing what is right for them. Volunteers are a critical part of keeping communities healthy – as such their own health needs to be of utmost importance too!
We also ask that if you are feeling unwell, you do not come into our physical office, but instead contact us at 902-385-4950 or email@example.com and we can help you virtually with any questions you may have.
As information about the pandemic is forever changing we suggest you keep informed through the links listed above as well as the Phase Three link listed below.
KVRC believes in engaged and vibrant communities built on the cornerstone of volunteerism. We host the Volunteer Nova Scotia website to promote volunteering in Nova Scotia. A valuable tool for both organizations and prospective volunteers, there are many volunteer opportunities to meet a wide range of interests. From single day events to long-term dedication, there are positions available.
